Biography
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Corrie works diligently to represent clients along the West Coast. Peers across the U.S. collaborate with Corrie on case strategy when cases, such as dangerous or defective products, span multiple states.
After attending Williams College, Corrie graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. Post law school, she worked at the Sierra Club Defense Fund before moving to Schroter Goldmark and Bender, and ultimately joining Sher Edling and founding the Corrie Yackulic Law Firm in 2009. Corrie has practiced law since 1986 and is licensed to practice in both state and federal courts in Washington and in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Corrie represents clients who have been seriously injured or suffered the loss of a family member due to the negligence of others. Her compassion, communication, and fierce dedication have earned her clients' trust as she fights to secure the best possible outcome in settlement negotiations or in trial. Her experience includes representing individuals and classes of people seriously injured as a result of medical negligence, products liability, maritime accidents, serious construction injury, auto, truck, pedestrian accidents, urban bicyclist injury and death, environmental torts (Corrie represented the majority of plaintiffs in the Oso landslide disaster), and other serious injury/wrongful death cases.
Many cases, such as Johnson and Johnson Talcum powder and ovarian cancer cases, and the pelvic mesh case, clearly affect women, particularly women of color, plus-sized women, and members of the LGBTQ community. These cases involve sensitive discussions, so clients can feel safe and reassured with their representation. When clients work with CJY Law, they can trust that Corrie will not only fight tirelessly for the justice they deserve but also meet them with empathy and understanding.
Corrie's sharp wit and commitment to justice have led her peers to rate her Preeminent AV (Martindale-Hubbell) for her legal skill and ethics.
In her free time, Corrie enjoys spending time with her family, exploring and appreciating nature in the PNW, drinking coffee, and going on bike rides.
